Joan of Arc

Joan of Arc

2.5 min
88 shot
- duration of torture tools shots, are a similar pattern
- Joan roughly stays the same except when the torture tool shots start to happen
- length of torture scenes between judges and Joan becomes shorter and shorter  << this is intentional

shot of her/  nothing(torture stuff) /  her (longer shot)

When analyzing

- direct relationships
- rhythm.  notating the rhythm.
- rhythm over other rhythms.
- becoming aware of more things and the details.
- using title screens to stop time.
- using title screens to stop you from being emmersed. (immersed?)
- lengths of title screens.
- location of subtitles matter.  middle flows better, bottom disrupts the flow.

Graphing this:
x - shot #.  space it out according to how long each shot is, for easier graph reading.
y - duration.  length of torture scenes between judge and Joan.

- maybe do a graph for shots and one for rhythm.
- film is counted by frames
